Meet the OwnerAt age 14, I started working part time at Mackean Rug where I learned the ins and outs of the flooring business. Little did I know then, but this job set the course for my future.
In 1975, I began working in flooring full time and in 1993 I opened my own business. Along the way I've learned a few things about flooring, but also about floor drains, water flow, subfloor conditions, and proper floor maintenance, all critical factors in the longevity of any flooring product. I stand behind my work, offering a two-year labor warranty with proper maintenance. For the most part, I've built my business on referrals. In fact, much of my work is supplied by vendors.
